Julia Beers Headshot JULIA BEERS (Ensemble Alto) is overjoyed to be making her Inverse Opera debut! A Seattle actor and singer for the past 8 years, Julia has appeared with SecondStory Repertory, Balagan Theatre, ReAct Theatre, Seattle Musical Theatre, Seattle/Mainstreet Festival of New Musicals, Unexpected Productions, and more. JEFF BELL (Pianist)
 Ashley M Biehl, Soprano - Headshot ASHLEY BIEHL (Ensemble Soprano) is a Master’s degree candidate in vocal performance at the University of Washington, where she studies with Dr. Kari Ragan. At UW, she has been seen as Mme. Silberklang in Mozart’s The Impressario and in scenes programs as The Fairy Godmother in Massenet’s Cendrillon and Marie in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride. Most recently, she was a member of the chorus for UW and Pacific Musicworks’ joint production of Handel’s Semele. She is excited to perform with Inverse Opera and is glad for the opportunity to perform a Baroque masterwork in a modern, intimate setting.
 Jenny Cross NEW JENNY CROSS (Ensemble Alto) is pleased to be combining three of her favorite things: Christmas, storytelling AND choral music in Inverse Opera’s Messiah!  A regular on Taproot’s mainstage; some of her favorite TTC shows include Gaudy Night, Leaving Iowa and Jane Eyre. Andrew Eric Davison (Ensemble Tenor) is a Seattle-born actor, singer, pianist, music director and lover of theatre of all shapes and sizes! Recent credits include Richard in A New Brain (STAGEright Theatre), Doughnut Holes (created with Mirum Mirum Productions, of which he is a co-founder), Noah Claypole in Oliver! and Ensemble in The Pirates of Penzance (both at 5th Avenue Theatre).
Hayley HAYLEY BAUDRAU GAARDE (Alto Soloist) is so happy to be returning for her second Messiah with the Inverse Opera. She earned her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Washington and Bachelor’s degree in Music from Whitworth University. She has recently sung the Gilbert and Sullivan roles of Josephine, Phyllis, Princess Ida and Gianetta, as well as Belinda in “Dido and Aeneas,” Rosa Bud in “Edwin Drood” and Maria in “The Sound of Music.” She has worked with The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Seattle, Puget Sound Concert Opera, Spokane Opera Company, and various choral organizations in Spokane and Seattle. She currently teaches private voice lessons to students of all ages. She would love to thank her super supportive husband and two beautiful children.
eric-jensen1 ERIC JENSEN (Bass Soloist) Has been working in the Seattle theatre scene for about 25 years and is excited to be involved with Inverse Opera. Recent credits include; “Javert” in Les Miz, “Tevye” in “Fiddler on the Roof” (Village Theatre), Part of the Barbershop Quartet in “Music Man” (5th Ave) and part of the Quintet in “Two Gents” (Wooden O). Next up Around the World in 80 Days at Village Theatre.
JUSTIN JOHNS (Ensemble Bass) is a composer, performer, and new music advocate from Seattle, Washington.  As a performer, Justin has been involved in many musical and theatrical endeavors, including the role of Willoughby in Sense and Sensibility at the 2012 Jane Austen festival in Bath, UK.  His other previous roles include Tony in West Side Story, Tobias in Sweeney Todd, and Lewis Carroll in the North American premiere of A Bright Particular Star.  Justin is also an advocate of new music through avant garde and dramatic vocal performance, having premiered numerous award winning works as a vocalist.  Justin would like to thank all the wonderful, supportive people in his life.
BR_107 BIANCA RASO (Ensemble Soprano) is an alumna of the School of Music at the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Music in voice performance. She enjoys performing in operas, musicals and plays as well as participating in the theatre’s many backstage roles. Some of her onstage credits include Emily Webb in Opera at USC’s Our Town, Chava and Fruma Sarah in Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof and Rosa in Studio’s Seattle Fringe Festival’s production of The Veins are Rich in San Quin. In the new year Bianca will be returning for her third season with FBN Productions Inc, in South Carolina, to perform Petunia in Petunia the touring opera for children of all ages. Bianca was born in Toronto Ontario and currently lives with her husband in Seattle, WA.
BenSasnett BEN SASNETT (Tenor Soloist) is a recent graduate of Central Washington University’s Musical Theatre BFA Program where he just played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables.  Some recent credits include Oklahoma! and Music Man at the 5th Avenue Theatre, Tony in West Side Story at The Majestic Theater in Pennsylvania, 1st Tenor in the Cockney Quartet in My Fair Lady at Coeur D’Alene Summer Theatre and Uriel in Haydn’s Creation (European Tour).  When not performing or teaching Voice, Ben loves Philosophy, Physics, and fruit.  He’s grateful to be here in Seattle singing some of the most beautiful music ever written!

 Derek Sellers (Ensemble Tenor) is pleased to be working once again with Inverse Opera and revisiting this unique interpretation of Handel’s Messiah. Recently he has appeared in Opera On Tap’s production of Speed Dating Tonight as well as The Mikado with Seattle G&S. Other local companies he has worked with include Seattle Opera, Lyric Light Opera, Seattle Musical Theater, and many others.  ~SDG~
JESSICA SPENCER (Producer/Assistant Director) has worked in management and administration positions for many companies across the country including Arts Center Enterprise Inc. (San Antonio, TX), Nebraska Theatre Caravan (Omaha, NE) and Taproot Theatre Company (Seattle, WA). Jessica is also an actor in the Seattle area and was recently seen as the title role in Jane Eyre at Taproot and in the Ensemble of Village Theatre’s Les Miserables. “Thank you thank you to everyone who took time from their busy lives to work on this production, it has been an absolutely beautiful experience. Thank you Rob for being brilliant  - but mostly, Thank you Sarah for letting us borrow him. Thanks Roo for letting me go crazy and being my sanity. Love you all, Jes.”
ShellyIrvin14 SHELLY TRAVERSE (Soprano Soloist) Originally from Midland, Texas, Shelly Traverse moved to Seattle a year ago from New York City.  Most recently she has performed Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music, and Mary in A Christmas Carol.  Equally at home in opera and musical theater Shelly has performed across the country in Maine, New York, Texas, Colorado, Ohio, Vermont, and Oregon. Favorite roles include Amy in Little Women the opera, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Annie in Annie Get Your Gun. Shelly has degrees in vocal performance from Oberlin Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music.  Having performed the Messiah dozens of times Shelly is thrilled and grateful to be a part of something so creative and personal.  All my love to my husband Eli.
Robert ROBERT WILSON (Ensemble Bass) is delighted to be returning to Inverse Opera for The Messiah. In the year since the last Messiah he has focused on remodeling his condo, which is now on the market. Prior to that, he was seen in Les Misérables at Balagan theater (RIP). He is definitely ready for more singing in his life. His favorite thing is to go for hikes with is amazing wife and two crazy dogs. He hopes you find something in the show to cherish.
